HAA volunteers responded to a call of a dog in need of care today. This sweet boy had a lead wrapped around his leg and did not want to be touched. His leg was injured, and he was obviously in pain. Volunteers were able to get him to Old Hatchie Vet Clinic (thank you, Dr. Pulse!) to be looked at. His leg is now free of the cord, and he will be kept overnight so Dr. Pulse can re-evaluate in the morning once some swelling goes down. Right now we are hoping that he gets to keep his leg, but we do not know what his vetting expenses will be. If you would like to donate to his bill, you can use the PayPal and Venmo links below. We will post updates as we have them. His name is Gus.
